A Year Freelance

July 28, 2023 was my last day on staff at Taproot. I can’t believe I’ve been freelance for an entire year already!

Anastasia, the incredible human behind Kula Cloth, made me a custom Theatre Magic Maker™ Kula to celebrate quitting my job. I cried when I opened the package.

A goal I had when I went freelance was to see more shows and to have more adventure days outside. I haven’t gone through and tallied up how many of each I did July 2022-July 2023, so I can’t exactly compare, but in the year since leaving my staff job, I’ve attended 24 shows/concerts/sports ball and I’ve had 33 days I’d classify as “adventure days”. Here’s to even more of both in the next year!
