The world premier of Sponsored By The Void was performed in two private residences in Seattle. We rehearsed in a third space, blocking the show for our Sand Point location. After a weekend of performances at the first house, we moved to West Seattle for a second weekend of performances.
At the first house, I was able to see action through a small window that separated the room I was in from the playing space. For the final scene of the show, I moved to the landing of a set of stairs that overlooked the playing space in order to control the lights.
At the second house, I was in the kitchen, down a short hallway from the playing space without a way to see the actors. For the final scene of the show, I moved to second hallway to control the lights.
Sponsored By The Void was remounted summer of 2025 and spent two weeks at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. For this version of the show, I was the lighting designer.
